History
Konomi Kindergarten International was established in August 1990 by Imagawa Gakuen Pty. Ltd. Australia as the first international Japanese early learning service outside Japan in Sydney, Australia.
Konomi Kindergarten International in Sydney is designed to integrate Japanese traditional know-how into Australian culture and education. Konomi Kindergarten International provides high quality care and education through knowledge and skills by both Japanese and Australian educators reflecting our philosophy, values and traditions. We hope the children grow up in affluence of this environment. And we do our utmost to live up to families’ expectations and beyond.
In 1967 | Aoitori was established as the first long day care and education service in Osaka, Japan. |

In 1971 | Imagawa Gakuen Corporation established Konomi Kindergarten in Osaka, Japan with 300 enrolment capacity for children aged 3 to 6 years old. |
In 2014 | Kotori was established as the second long day care and education service in Osaka, Japan. The corporation continues to grow its service to young children and their families. |
In 2018 | Yao Aoitori was established as the third long day care and education service in Yao, Japan. |
In 2020 | Higashi Osaka Aoitori was established in Higashi Osaka, Japan. |
